Safe Game Panel was created in response to the needs of the game hosting market and as an alternative to revogames, which dominated at the time. The priorities were operational safety and an interface an end user could navigate without help.

Account and finances

  • Registration and password recovery based on a single-use token in a link, with no passwords sent by email.
  • Account history: successful and failed login attempts, plus a record of data changes.
  • Account data editing and password changes.
  • A virtual wallet with a history of deposits, transfers and spending.
  • Balance transfers to another user.
  • Order form and discount code support.

Server management

  • A list of purchased servers with renewal options.
  • Server name editing.
  • Browser-based FTP with one-click auto-login and FTP password changes.
  • The start command locked from editing, with a separate field for additional parameters the user can set.
  • Server console log.
  • Reinstallation from prepared reinstall packages.

Supported games

Counter-Strike, Minecraft, HLTV.

Stack

  • HTML, jQuery, CSS
  • PHP with the PHPSSH2 library

A design decision that held up

Splitting the start command into a locked part and a user-editable part. It gave users configuration freedom without the risk of accidentally launching a process in a way that threatened other instances on the same machine.
